Wrong. If you believe that you are sinful, utterly despicable to a holy God, and utterly hopeless and helpless to do anything about your state, then you turn to Christ and realize He is your only hope, accepting Him as your Lords and Savior, then you will truly be saved.
I speak from personal experience. In my middle school years I vaped, partied, and did everything I shouldn’t have. I felt so empty, so i would try and fill myself with these things. It got to a point where I was suicidal. Then my youth pastor gave a sermon on utter depravity and how hopeless we as humans are. I became a Christian. My life flipped around and now I know where I’m going.
