Recently, it was announced that the drama would be getting a sequel titled “Strong Woman Gang Nam Soon”, slated for release in 2023. While the original starred Park HyungSik and Park BoYoung in the leading roles, this sequel will feature Lee YouMi of “Squid Game” and “All Of Us Are Dead” fame, idol actor Ong SeongWu and rising star Byeon WooSeok, alongside veteran actors Kim JungEun and Kim HaeSook. With Lee YouMi leading “Strong Woman Gang Nam Soon”, we can rest assured that Do BongSoon’s legacy is in extremely capable hands. In “Strong Woman Gang Nam Soon”, NamSoon goes missing as a child and returns to Korea as an adult to find her family. Her mother is an influential and wealthy woman living in Gangnam with her grandmother, both of whom were born with superhuman strength too. With not one but three strong women, this season is going to be amazing.
2. The Love Triangle Of Our Dreams
One of the most charming points of “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon” was the adorable and, at times, hilarious love triangle between BongSoon, Ahn MinHyuk, and In GukDoo (JiSoo). This time, we’ll be witnessing three of the brightest new stars of the Korean entertainment industry, potentially getting involved in a love triangle. According to reports, Ong SeongWu will play the male lead Kang HeeShik whereas Byeon WooSeok will play the second male lead Ryu ShiOh. It will be interesting to see who wins the heart of our lovely Gang NamSoon.
3. A Riveting Crime Thriller
At the core of “Strong Woman Gang Nam Soon” lies a mystery crime thriller that will keep you on your toes until the very end. This time, NamSoon, her mother, and grandmother get involved in a drug case that turns their lives upside down. It is here that detective Kang HeeShik comes into play as he begins to work on the case with the three women.
