The dance survival program has released only two episodes so far. But just within these two weeks, “Street Man Fighter” has already produced many captivating storylines and jaw-dropping battles that keep viewers invested until the last second. That’s because everything changes once the contestants reach the dance floor, giving their all in order to show that they’re the best dancer. Now, let’s take a look at some of these battles from “Street Man Fighter” that have set the dance floor ablaze.
1. Mbitious’ Roh TaeHyun vs. PRIMEKINGZ’s Trix
There’s a lot of history between Trix and Roh TaeHyun. Both of them were part of the same dance crew, Monster Woo FAM, and while Trix honed his skills as a krumper, TaeHyun pursued the path of an idol. Although it had been a while since the two had last met, neither held back and went into the battle headstrong with their pride on the line. With their history and being the first battle of “Street Man Fighter”, it proved to be a legendary stage.
2. 1MILLION’s Choi YoungJun vs. EO-DDAE’s Kinky
Choi YoungJun and Kinky shine on stage no matter the circumstance and this battle is no different. The two go head to head with different styles; with Kinky going first, showing his skills in waacking, earning cheers from everyone. But Choi YoungJun doesn’t stand down and shows his years worth of experience while incorporating breakdancing into his routine. The judges are equally impressed by both and ask for a second battle to determine the winner. Choi YoungJun and Kinky do not disappoint and show praise-worthy performances.
3. YGX’s Deukie vs. PRIMEKINGZ’s Knucks
These two powerhouse’s first battle is impressive and filled with technical skill. Knucks incorporates his hat into his dancing, while Deukie shows off some fancy footwork and turns. But the judges are unable to decide a winner, so the two are made to battle once more. That’s when the stage heats up — and clothes come off. Knucks goes shirtless, showing off his toned body while Deukie removes his jacket to match his opponent’s energy. You can definitely feel their passion and desire to win.
4. JUST JERK’s Young-J vs. WE DEM BOYZ’s Vata
Nothing is more hype than a battle between leaders with the pride of their crew riding on the result. Young-J represents the classic veteran, while Vata is the trendy new school. The two dancers effortlessly glide on stage, using the right gestures and moves to match the lyrics and rhythm to the songs perfectly. Young-J and Vata earn multiple cheers of respect from the other participants, showing the exact reason why they were chosen as the leader for their crew.
5. PRIMEKINGZ’s Trix vs. Mbitious’ 5000
This is but another battle between leaders, but also veterans of the dance scene. Both Trix and 5000 (pronounced Oh-Cheon) are known battlers and have participated in numerous competitions in Korea and internationally. Trix goes hard and shows his skills as the World Krump Champion, but 5000 proves he’s just as good with his captivating hip-hop and popping moves. You can’t help but stare in awe as the two make dancing seem effortless. Have you been watching “Street Man Fighter”? What’s your favorite battle so far? Let us know in the comments below!
