In this new album, Ju Hang Lee tells various stories of nature and human taken place between the sun and the moon. The album has 10 tracks of extensive genres from ballad, hip-hop to electronica that is based on traditional Korean music. “Rather than distinguishing music by genres, this album created a naturalness in the imbalance by discovering the connection between genres,” she remarked. Specially, Sunnie from the vocal group The Barberettes, who participated together in the global charity single Against The Wind released in August, took a part as a featuring artist and co-producer in the title track Eye Of The Heart.
The project IL WOL DANG aims to showcase various angles of traditional Korean music by combining it with popular music genres. It paves the way for fusion of traditional Korean music with a modern twist and bring it to the mainstream. While being rooted in the crossover of electronica and traditional Korean music, the music, called Space House, embodies all musical elements in a sense of co-prosperity of the universe, nature, and humans. Such a notion of coexistence comes from traditional Korean rituals of ancestors to pray for a good harvest and well-being in history. Ju Hang Lee has believed in the value of symbiosis and presented in a way of merging various sounds since her solo albums and the first project single BARA. The innovative mixture of sound not only introduces global listeners to a new genre of Korean music other than K-pop but also expands their musical horizons. Ju Hang Lee plans to engage in all-around activities through music, performances, and videos, contributing to the spread of traditional Korean music in the world as BTS does for K-pop. The third IL WOL DANG project album BALANCE is available to stream and download across all major music platforms. Watch the official music video
