There are K-Pop fans across the globe who share the same passion. But on online platforms, it is hard to know about each other’ stories and K-Pop life. Even if we are in the same fandom, it is hard to get to know each other. So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias. Estrella is the next fan to answer our questions. She is from the U.S. and is a fan of ASTRO! Check out how she entered the fandom, the songs and content she advises to new fans, and much more! Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from? Hello my name is Estrella, I am in 8th grade and I am from the United States. How and when did you enter the fandom? When I first came into K-Pop I didn’t know much but I just knew I needed to listen to more K-Pop music I was intrigued. My very first kpop group I stanned is ASTRO. I got into K-Pop around 2018 and got in by watching K-Dramas. What are the reasons why you love your favorite group? The reasons why love them is because I found something that I found interesting and different from what I am used to. Who caught your attention at first and why? When I first became an AROHA the first person from ASTRO who first caught my attention is the rap line Rocky and JinJin. Who is your bias, and why? I don’t have a bias I love them all equally especially in their I could never choose. Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans? A title track I would recommend is ‘Baby’ in “Dream Part. 1” and ‘Because It’s You’. Can you recommend a fancam, V-Live, cover video, cover dance, or individual content video of your bias to our readers? A cover dance I would choose is a cover MoonBin and SanHa did from Billie Eilish for Halloween called ‘Bad Guy’. You can also add a message to your bias or show it on a message scrapbook. Hello ASTRO I am a AROHA I am unnoticed by yall but it’s okay because the love I give you guys and not expect anything in return is enough for me. When you guys came into my life I didn’t know I would fall hard. At first, I liked their music especially MJ high vocal notes and thought oh I like them let’s just learn their names but I became a hard Stan. I love you guys so much that idk what I will do if I don’t hear from you guys ever again. ASTRO influenced my daily life by wanting to learn to dance I laugh more that I did, and to want to become a singer also. Some people think that Eun Woo looks handsome and at but people confuse him by saying that he looks cold but he really isn’t cold he laughs more than you expect and sings amazing that you cannot imagine.
